Cassino, up close
Study in Cassino. Understand every step.
The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio — Unicas — combines official Italian degrees, programmes in English, a highly international student body and day-to-day costs that can be easier to manage than in a large city.
We are based here. We know the university, the city and the administrative steps around student life. We can assist with course choice, admission, pre-enrolment, visa documentation, arrival and residence-permit procedures.

A manageable city, built around study.
Cassino is a medium-small university city. Its scale can make the first months in Italy less dispersive, while direct rail services keep it connected with Rome and Naples.

The station, city centre and main university sites are linked by local transport. Cassino has direct rail connections with Rome and Naples.
A concrete housing estimate
Unicas reports an average of about €220 a month for a room in a shared apartment, including utilities and condominium fees. Students selected through the annual DiSCo call may instead receive a place in a university residence.
Canteen meals: reduced or free
For 2026/27, a full meal costs €2.50–€8.40 according to the university ISEE. Scholarship winners can receive two free meals a day; eligible non-winners can receive one.
Study and the next step
Choose the course with life after graduation in mind.
A degree is more useful when the programme matches the student’s abilities, languages and longer-term plans. Before applying, we compare subjects, admission requirements, likely costs and possible career directions.
